We love cold-brewing tea for a simple, fuss-free way to brew a large batch of tea. It produces delicious, never-bitter results with very little effort. It's great to keep on hand for energy, glow and hydration, and fun for serving up guests at a picnic or dinner party. This method works with any Lake & Oak Tea. You can customize it by adding fresh fruit, or even plant-based milks (makes a delicious iced Coco Rose Earl Grey Latte)
Cold Brew Tea Recipe
- 2-3 tablespoons loose leaf Lake & Oak Tea (or 3-4 Pyramid Tea Bags)
- 1 litre of cold water
- honey, maple syrup, stevia, or sweetener to taste (optional)
- lemon or lime slices, fresh fruit, fresh mint, etc (optional)
In a pitcher, mason jar or large vessel, add tea and cover with cold water. Refrigerate for 5 hours, and up to 2 days. Strain and sweeten to taste. Top with any desired garnishes. (we love fresh mint, cucumbers and a squeeze of lemon!)
