Hi L&O fam 👋  Sarah here, Lake & Oak social media manager⁠.

Mental wellness is always top of mind for our team, and it’s especially important as we head into the hustle and bustle of the holidays. Enter: another edition of our mental wellness toolbox, featuring the practices & products helping me feel my best despite the mess. 

Morning Routine⁠

A daily routine helps avoid any early morning decision-making and sets me up for a creative and productive day. ⁠

For me, this looks like skincare, making coffee, doing my @FiveMinuteJournal, and twenty minutes of reading before I write my to-do list for the day. ⁠

Brain-Dumping⁠

When I feel overwhelmed, I'll dump everything onto the page to clear my head and figure out how I can move forward.⁠

Reading⁠

When I feel underwhelmed, I'll read. This gets me out of my head and usually inspires a new perspective. ⁠

⁠Wellness Support⁠

I'm a big fan of adaptogens, mushrooms, and good ol' vitamin D to give my body the boost it needs to manage stress, fatigue, and bolster my energy levels. ⁠

My go-to's are Lake & Oak's Ashwaghanda + Chill, Mega Matcha, and Beet Mylk. I add Rainbo Mushrooms Lion's Maine to my drinks throughout the day to help with mental clarity. ⁠

Hot Girl Walks⁠

Similar to a normal walk, except you think about the things you're grateful for, the things you want to achieve, and how hot you are aka things you love about yourself!⁠

It's a good excuse to get out of the house, get some fresh air, and invite gratitude & goal setting into your day. ⁠
